Good data management and the sharing of properly managed data is at the heart of the scientific method. In times where data is digitally stored and therefore can be losslessly multiplied and processed, data management and sharing is seemingly easy, yet, many laboratories wish they had a more robust and sustainable method established. 
In this workshop, we will explore good practice for data management, gather and discuss the requirements with our participants and provide examples for data annotation tools, generic repositories for data archival and how to submit data to global, community-accepted repositories for specialized data types, such as genomic, transcriptomic and metabolomic data.
