In September, PD Dr. Volker Wagner and Prof. Dr. M. Mittag from the Institute of General Botany at the Matthias-Schleiden-Institute will offer the course "Preparation of Peptide Samples for LC-ESI-MS/MS Analysis"

The workshop will take place in presence on September 16 – 17 and deals with the preparation of peptide samples for liquid chromatography electrospray ionization tandem mass spectrometry (LC-ESI-MS/MS).

The following topics will be covered:

·         Preparation of SDS-polyacrylamide gels suited for mass spectrometry analyses

·         Excision of gel bands and destaining procedures

·         In-gel tryptic digestion and elution of peptides

·         Reversed phase chromatography (using ZipTips®)
